Although there are lot many paints present in the market but it has
been often noticed that a consumer gets confused when he or she is left out
with Krylon and Rustoleum paints. Both the paints are excellent when their
characteristics are evaluated individually however they differ slightly on some
parameters. As compared to Rustoleum, Krylon paint dry out faster. Sometimes it
has been noticed that the surface on which Krylon paint has been applied turns
out to be harder as compared to Rustoleum paint. The acrylic version of Krylon
spray paint has a little disadvantage as compared to Rustoleum paint in the way
that it is not easy to use. The amount of water base in Krylon spray paint is a
little more than the required quantity. Due to this, careful handling of the
paint is required. This makes this paint unsuitable for the beginners.
Another disadvantage which we see with Krylon spray paint is the
nozzle spray. Nozzle spray is the place from where the paint in the aerosol
form comes out of the container. The nozzle spray in Krylon spray paint has a
little problem in compatibility with the container. Also different kinds of
nozzles are required for producing different kinds of textures but in Krylon spray painting supplies, this feature is not there. But if we see the good side of Krylon
spray paint over Rostoleum paint, then we can clearly see that it is
economical. A difference of at least 20% is there on each model as compared to Rustoleum
spray. Also the nozzle spray in Krylon spray paint has the capability to spray
in 360 degree direction as it can be rotated in any direction but Rustoleum
paint does not have this kind of characteristic.
Fabric painting is the biggest challenge for any painter. There are
very less paints that are fabric friendly and Krylon spray paint is one of
them. Therefore it proudly mentions this tag line on its container but
Rustoleum spray paint is harmful for the fabric. Another quality of Krylon
spray paint is that it gives very good finishing when it dries out. Mirror like
finishing can be seen once the Krylon spray paint dries out.
So considering the pros and cons of both Krylon spray paint and
Rustoleum paint, one can say that qualities of both the paints are equally
balanced. The user has to decide as to what his needs are and then choose the
brand accordingly.
